An overcast afternoon at Cotton Tree Beach set the perfect mood for a laid-back surf shoot with local surfer Shayelle Lajoie. Known for her incredible balance and signature handstand moves on the waves, Shayelle brought effortless style to the session. Using a massive Canon 400mm telephoto lens, I captured a series of portrait-style shots that highlight her natural energy and connection with the ocean. The soft, diffused light from the cloudy sky gave the images a dreamy, moody feel—focusing on movement, expression, and the raw beauty of surfing. A fun and spontaneous shoot with some stunning results!
