There’s nothing quite like the QUT Graduate Fashion Show—it’s a highlight on any fashion lover’s calendar and one of our personal favourites. The students don’t hold back: each year delivers wild, out-there creations that blur the line between runway show and performance art.
Drawing on themes like feminism, poetry, body positivity, sci-fi, club culture, and gender-fluid expression, these emerging designers show they're not just talented—they’re visionary.
Graduates push garment construction to the next level, experimenting with laser cutting, digital printing, bio-plastics, accessory making, and other innovative techniques.
Since its inception as part of the QUT Design Festival, this showcase has become a launchpad for the future of fashion. Final-year students present curated capsule collections in electric evening runway events. The energy backstage is electric—models, stylists, and creatives collaborating in a high-stakes, dynamic atmosphere to bring these bold visions to life.
