At Brisbane Fashion Festival 2025, the Designer Group Show took a heartfelt turn back in time by opening with a Retrospective Showcase—a stylish homage to the festival’s fashion heritage. It featured iconic spring–summer designs from 2006 by legendary creators Juli Grbac, Easton Pearson, George Wu, Darb Couture, Gina Kim, and Paul Hunt. The audience experienced classic couture reborn, reminding Brisbane how far its fashion narrative has come.
That nostalgic prelude gave way seamlessly to a vibrant wave of new-season vision, with contemporary collections from trailblazers like Sacha Drake, Kristian Williams The Brand, Sonia Stradiotto Couture, Mannzilo, RicRac Road, Astille, and Jotéo. The result was a dynamic miniseries of sartorial evolution—timeless designs fanning into bold new creativity, all under one marquee.
